A meeting of representatives of Local Orthodox Churches in the Jordanian capital of Amman is being held behind closed doors.
Reporters are not allowed to cover the events at and around the meeting, says Russian theologian Andrey Kuraev.
“According to our sources, several groups of journalists have already been kicked out of the hotel – including two groups from Russia. The latter tried to shoot videos of what was happening at the hotel from the rooftop opposite, but were prevented from doing so by police. According to our data, Patriarch Theophilus of Jerusalem blessed only one media outlet to cover the meeting – the state-run Jordanian channel,” the report said.
